we’ve received “TOH O Award”

“TOH O NIPPO” is one of the leading local newspapers in Aomori area – since 1948, they’ve been giving annual awards to an individual and an organisation in recognition of their contributions to the community

第62回となる今年は十和田市現代美術館と歌人の梅内美華子さん（八戸市出身）が受賞

this year, TAC and a renowned Tanka poet, Ms Mikako Umenai received the awards

本日青森市で行われた贈呈式に市民ボランティアの方たちと6人で出席しました

移動の車中はまるで修学旅行のよう　皆なで冗談言い合ってげらげら笑って たいへんな騒ぎです　　

6 people attended the awards ceremony today – some were volunteers from the museum

they were absolute fun! – we laughed so much during the drive to Aomori city

受賞の理由はこれだと思いました　

then, I knew why we got this award

人間力 ／ the power of these people

こんなに素敵な人達が十和田のことを愛している　未来は明るいと思う

Towada’s future is bright – these lovely people truly want to make a difference
